Estoril Praia went to Madeira this Sunday, to play with CS Marítimo the 10th round of the Revelation Series South Series. Before the match, the under-23 magicians led the competition’s classification table, with 3 more points than Marítimo, second in the classified.
The teams had already faced each other this season, the game ended in a draw, with a goal for each side.
Estoril Praia’s eleven featured João Oliveira on goal, in defense, Tiago Manso, Bernardo Vital, Vasco Oliveira and Pedro Empis, in midfield, Afonso Valente, Klismahn and Lucho Vega and in attack, Paulinho, Douglas Aurélio and Elias Achouri .
Estoril Praia had the first chances, but Marítimo finished first and in the 13th minute Johnson Oppong made it 1-0.
Douglas Aurélio had two scoring opportunities, one headed by the Madeiran defense and the second with the ball passing the goal, but the striker was in an irregular position. Even with the Estoril Praia attacks, it was Marítimo who scored again after 27 minutes, after inattention by the Estoril defense, Jefferson Agostinho scored the second.
Still in the first half, Estoril Praia created several moments of danger for Pedro Teixeira’s goal, and in the 42nd minute, in an assist by Pedro Empis, Douglas Aurélio reduced the difference, following the teams to the dressing rooms with the result favorable to islanders.
Estoril Praia scored again, in the 54th minute, after Tiago Manso found striker Paulinho in front, who in an acrobatic flight tied the match.
Five minutes later, Marítimo surprised Vasco Botelho da Costa’s team and returned to be in front of the marker.
The tie comes to 85 minutes, when Paulinho isolates Lucho Vega in front and faces with the goalkeeper of Marítimo, the midfielder to score in the Revelation League.
The result of the game reinforced the leadership of Estoril Praia in the South Series, which is now with 18 points, three more than the second, CS Marítimo, which has one less game played.
