Estoril Praia dominated the first half of the match, with a ball, building a game since his defensive stronghold and on 35 minutes Douglas Aurélio entered the area on the right of the offence and shot for the second of the canarinhos in the match.
Portimonense tried to react and in the 37th minute Matheus Guedes reduced the Estorilista advantage, scoring Portimonense’s first goal this season.
Estoril Praia maintained this identity and before the whistle for half-time Gilson made it 3-1 for Mágico, at the 43rd minute passed.
In a match played under intense heat, with a stop at each part for refreshment, Estoril Praia knew how to control the result, ending the encounter with the victory and the three points.
For Vasco Botelho da Costa, coach of the U23 Magicians “we started the match with the natural anxiety of those who had not played for 6 months. We knew how to control the game, we scored two goals and we knew how to react to Portimonense’s goal. The second half went down, due to the heat and to be at the beginning of the season, but also due to the merit of the Portimonense who knew how to press. ”
Regarding the result, the young coach considers “fair and that translates what happened within the 4 lines”.
Estoril Praia has 3 points in the Revelation League 2020/2021, returning to play next Saturday, where they face Sporting, in a match that will take place at the Alcochete Academy.
