“We have to be lethal” – Pedro Emanuel

Estoril Praia will face Sporting tomorrow in Alvalade, a game refereed by Luís Godinho, where they play three more points in the fourth round of the Liga NOS. Coach Pedro Emanuel referred to Jorge Jesus’ team as a “Golias” that will not remove the identity that the Estoril team has built so far.

“Sporting is moralized by the victory in the Champions League, and from now on, my congratulations because it is an important thing for Portuguese football” Pedro Emanuel began, stressing this good moment. “He is strong and has won unequivocally, but in Alvalade we will have an Estoril with his own identity in a difficult environment and against a team that likes to have a ball and suffocate the opponent,” he said.

Asked about the attack options in Sporting team, the coach of Estoril Praia acknowledged that the numbers speak for themselves. “Sporting has a lot of diversity in its offensive moment, we know that in many moments we will have to know how to suffer and be without a ball, but never failing to play our game, a game in which we try to attack at the right moment to make a goal. The last games are a good example of what we can do in offensive terms and that will motivate us against a good team” he said.

“We have to be lethal and in two or three chances we will have to make one or two,” he said, adding that the coach had predicted the confidence of the men ahead.

The game between Estoril and Sporting, in Alvalade, is scheduled for 18 hours this sunday.
