Estoril Praia – Futebol, SAD, hereby regret and repudiate the events that occurred yesterday, Tuesday, at the 49th minute of the match of the sixth round of the Liga Portugal 2, when two individuals climbed the outer wall of the António Coimbra da Mota Stadium, accessing and throwing a torch to the bench.
Estoril Praia – Futebol, SAD, considers this type of behavior to be unacceptable, particularly in a match in which its main team wore a game jersey referring to the “Zero Tolerance” Campaign towards the violence associated with Sport.
Estoril Praia – Futebol, SAD, defends, and will continue to inflexibly defend the ethical values of sport such as cooperation, respect, solidarity, fair play and tolerance, not allowing its image and the image of the overwhelming majority of its fans and supporters are associated with moments like the one we unfortunately saw yesterday.
Still in the course of the meeting, Estoril Praia – Futebol, SAD, made available to the competent police authorities all the means at their disposal that allow the identification of the individuals concerned, so that they can be punished for the acts committed, of which they are the only ones responsible.
Estoril Praia – Futebol, SAD, takes the opportunity to thank all the supporters who, in an orderly, correct, responsible and nonetheless passionate way, have supported the team, respecting the health safety rules imposed by the situation we are going through.
