Estoril Praia presented this Thursday, October 22 nd, a new unit integrated in the Estoril Center of Excellence. The Esports Unit, created in a partnership between Estoril Praia and 22esport.
The Esports Unit will be focused on attracting and developing talent in electronic games, with the first phase of the project centered on the FIFA game, both in the 1V1 version and in the ProClubs version, where Estoril Praia will present competitive teams.
“The Esports Unit is part of a natural process for the growth of the Estoril Praia Center of Excellence, where we seek to develop players on and off the field, identifying and developing talents through work methodologies based on advanced scientific knowledge.”, said Jeffrey Saunders , president of SAD Estoril Praia.
For André Silva, one of the founders of 22esports, “it is a great pride to embrace this project and challenge together with this historic institution, which is Estoril Praia, with the great objective of developing and affirming Esports at the club, which will attract a new generation of fans and will have a great impact not only on the club, but also on Estoril and its surrounding region. With the Esports Unit, a gaming room is created at the Estoril Praia facilities, which will support the development of the main teams, as well as the training of new talents, since the project also includes a Training Academy.
The Esports Unit, the Innovation and Development Unit and the Performance Unit form the main structure of the Estoril Praia Center of Excellence.
