In the end Vasco Botelho da Costa was a happy coach. “It’s always complicated to come and play at the Academy, Sporting is a tough opponent, but the team made an effort to maintain the game plan we had set. We had difficulties in the first 10 minutes of the match, with Sporting opting for a more direct game and betting on transitions, this ended up creating some difficulties for us. After 10 minutes we managed to impose our idea of the game and I think we sent the game ”, said the coach of the sub23 team at Mágico Estoril Praia.
“In the second half we wagged a little with the goal conceded, but the team stabilized again with the substitutions, the last minutes were very tired from side to side, the game was very broken, something we didn’t like, but also something that was difficult to control, since we are in the early stages of the season. Overall, we were fine, we managed to impose our ideas and continue our journey, evolving from game to game ”, concluded the 31-year-old coach.
At the end of the match, Estoril Praia won by three balls to one, now adding 6 points, being a prominent leader after two rounds of the Revelation League.
