There followed days, weeks, months of recovery, a lot of struggle and resilience, 450 days without re-equipping. It was fate that Cícero Alves, number 5 of Mágico Estoril Praia, would return to the competition precisely against Arouca, at the start of the LigaPro 20/21, and it was fate wanted Cícero Alves to play 8 minutes in his return match, the same ones that he had played the last time he wore the Magician’s jersey.
“Returning was one of the best feelings of my career, when mister called me the film from the last 450 days crossed my mind. It is bad to be out and want to help the team, without succeeding. We had a tough time in these 450 days, but I always believed that I would come back stronger. The motivation of family and friends was very important at the time, but now I am back and I only think about giving my best for Estoril Praia ”, said the midfielder in statements to the Estoril Praia website.
